Springfield Armory Saint Edge EVAC: The Perfect Package for Concealment

The firearms industry has always had a way to surprise us with innovative designs and features that set them apart from the rest. And, in my opinion, Springfield Armory's SAINT Edge EVAC is one such example. I got a chance to experience this compact powerhouse at the recent gun show and was thoroughly impressed.

Firstly, what caught my attention was the way the gun pointed naturally for me. The sights were easy to use, making it effortless to hit the target. Despite its small size, I found myself easily clanging the little steel target paddle back and forth with ease. The extra pinky space allowed for a total of 13 rounds capacity, which is impressive considering the gun's compact nature.

As someone who loves their Glock, I have to admit that my G43 can't compete with this level of performance in such a small package. Moreover, the accuracy was surprisingly good, with minimal recoil and no 'snappiness' at all – even when using the mag extension for added stability.

I also got a chance to shoot Springfield's little Hellcat during the show and must say that it's another impressive offering from the brand. For those interested in more information about this gun, I'll be sure to share my full review soon.

The SAINT Edge EVAC is an excellent addition to Springfield Armory's lineup, featuring a patented ratchet barrel takedown system combined with a Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 1 sidefolding brace and Law Tactical Gen 3-M folder adapter for extremely compact storage. The gun also boasts a BCMGUNFIGHTER Mod 3 pistol grip, free-float M-Lok handguard, and a Springfield Armory Blast Diverter.

What sets the SAINT Edge EVAC apart is its ability to pack a powerful punch in a compact package. With a 10.3' barrel length, this gun measures just over 28' with the included SB Tactical SBA3 five-position brace fully collapsed. From the Magpul 20-round PMAG to the short Reptilla CQG pistol grip, every component has been carefully chosen to provide unrivaled portability.

As Springfield Armory VP of Marketing Steve Kramer explained, 'We wanted to give our customers an early 'sneak peek' at some exciting new SAINT pistols we have been developing over the past year.' And I must say that the SAINT Edge EVAC is definitely worth a look. With its impressive performance and innovative design, this gun has earned itself a spot on my wish list.

According to the reps at Springfield Armory, they currently have around fifteen units available, with plans to ship more in the spring.
